Cut Auger Flighting & Knife-Like Blades- Help to reduce the
torque requirements while providing you with a quick and thorough mixing
of commodities. In addition, the augers easily mix whole bales and long
roughage into your ration. The auger bearings are externally mounted to
protect against feed acids. These bolt-in flanged augers make it easy to
Auger Discharge- Friction is not a problem with the Kirby Twin Auger
Discharge which prevents metal rubbing (a common occurrence with chain
discharges). These Augers are extremely quiet and almost maintenance
Drives- Kirby Manufacturing uses mechanical or hydraulics to drive
the Twin Auger Discharge. This heavy-duty discharge drive is equipped
with 1-1/2" drive shafts and a double pillow block bearing support.
Steel Sides- The Kirby Auger Mixer is made of heavy-duty steel and
features a continuous bottom which extends to the top of the discharge.
Door- Each Auger Mixer is equipped with a hatchback door making
maintenance a snap.
Gear Box- By reducing the
number of chains and sprockets, Kirby has created a more simplified
Oil Bath- To ensure a dust-free environment, the chain assembly is
totally enclosed in an oil bath. Each bearing in the bath has grease
lines to two central grease banks allowing quick and easy service of
your drive and end bearings.
Scales- Every Auger Mixer has an option of electronic scales. A
back-lit LCD display allows for easy visibility in darkness or bright
sunlight. With the convenience of Zero pushbuttons, accumulating weights
is fast and simple. The scales generally feature a remote display for
viewing weight away from the indicator and an optional wireless control
which lets you zero from up to 100 feet away.
